California to receive $90 Million in DOE Efficiency Grantss

2009 June 26

Latest news coming out of Energy Secretary Stephen Chu: California will be receiving $90 Million in federal stimulus funds to support energy efficiency programs. The money is from a chunk of about $11 billion which was set aside for energy efficiency programs from the Recovery Act.

Chu believes that conserving Energy is a vital part in reducing greenhouse gases and saving consumers money. Which makes sense because we won’t be running on 100% renewable energy anytime soon, so preserving the natural resources we have and keeping crude prices lower is beneficial to all of us.

Use the money wisely California.
